Jerman, Penghasil dan Produsen Anggur Terbaik - Tuturkita

In Indonesia, the consumption of alcoholic beverages remains somewhat taboo due to religious and governmental norms. However, in Europe, particularly given its cold climate, the consumption of alcoholic drinks has become a daily routine for many. This has driven a significant demand for alcoholic products, particularly wines. Germany, known for its renowned scholars, is also highly regarded for the quality of its white wine production, notably in the Rheinhessen region.

Krisis Berlin 1961: Pertemuan Elang dan Beruang di Checkpoint Charlie — Tuturkita

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, tension gripped Germany, especially in the divided city of Berlin, a result of the post-World War II division of the city. West Berlin was controlled by the Allies, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, while East Berlin fell under the strong influence of the Soviet Union. The situation escalated when Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev issued an ultimatum, demanding the withdrawal of Allied forces from West Berlin within six months. This division physically embodied the ideological divide of the Cold War, and the decisions made by the Allies and the Soviet Union would significantly impact the city's fate and the course of the Cold War.

Despite being defeated by the Allies in World War II, who would have thought that the German military once held a commendable reputation during the time of the Holy Roman Empire, specifically in the 12th century? The military strength of Germany was not merely a matter of hearsay; it became legendary among military circles. Upon closer examination, during this period, the German military managed to produce a formidable group of elite forces that instilled fear and commanded respect from their adversaries. Remarkably, these forces were known as the Teutonic Knights, tasked with reclaiming the city of Jerusalem from the hands of the Arab Sultanate during the Third Crusade.

Kekejaman Nazi Jerman di Polandia: Kisah Tragis Komunitas Yahudi dalam Ghetto — Tuturkita

September 1, 1939, marks a tragic and unforgettable moment in Polish history, as the sudden and indiscriminate invasion of German forces triggered the start of World War II. Adolf Hitler's order to seize the city of Danzig, which had previously been part of German territorial jurisdiction before the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, led to widespread fear and distress throughout Poland. The invasion prompted a mass exodus as people sought refuge in neighboring countries they deemed safer. Among those most profoundly affected were the Jewish communities, as Poland was home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the world, primarily centered in cities like Warsaw.

From Autocracy to Democracy

In 2024, Indonesia will hold the biggest democracy event in Indonesia, which is the presidential election. This marks the commencement of a new chapter following a decade under the leadership of Joko Widodo as the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia’s democratic journey can be seen way back in the years around 1945–1950, after gaining independence from Dutch and Japanese colonial rule and overcoming the challenges posed by Dutch occupation. It has been a difficult journey for Indonesia to achieve political stability. Despite the historic proclamation declared on August 17, 1945, the country faced several tremendous challenges.
